MEET THE CHEF
"Every community of the Diaspora has its own "soul-food"...my desire is to share the beauty of these dishes in a casual atmosphere, while learning their complex and diverse histories, and appreciating their familiarity on our palate."
Chef Moe - "Chef of the Culture"
Executive Chef of Cafe' Neo Soul

CHEF MOE
Working in restaurants since the age of 15, Chef Moe is a life-long food lover who understands the power of a nourishing meal, made with love and care. Inspired by his Grandmother, Miss Nellie, and her legacy of blending culture, food, and southern hospitality, Chef Moe is sharing his passion for delicious food with other “Foodies” who are ready for a refined culinary experience.
A graduate of the iconic, International Culinary Center, formerly The French Culinary Institute in NYC, Chef Moe is seamlessly blending traditional French cooking techniques and his signature "intuitive" cooking style influenced by his upbringing in the historic Northern Neck region of Virginia. Combining the sophistication of classic French cuisine with the "Soul Foods of the African Diaspora", is what Chef Moe refers to as "Neo-Soul Food".
Similar to the genre of Neo Soul music, Chef Moe's cooking is a fusion of elements that create something new, meaningful, and most importantly...full of flavor! Everyday at Cafe' Neo Soul, you can expect to experience high-quality, culturally centered, and artful expressions of your favorite comfort foods... think regional southern food and dishes from the Caribbean, South America, and everywhere the African Diaspora resides around the world!
Where else can you find all these delicious cuisines in one spot?
